Sumeet Enterprises supplies greige — unprocessed, loom-state fabric — to dyers, printers, processors and garment manufacturers across India.
We deal in raw cloth: cotton, poly-cotton and poly-viscose blends, shirtings and specialty constructions such as twill and cotton-lycra. Everything is sold by the metre, in cut lengths for sampling or full pieces for production.
What we mean by greige
Greige is fabric exactly as it comes off the loom — woven, but not yet bleached, dyed, printed or finished. It is the raw material of the textile chain. Because nothing has been done to it yet, the construction underneath matters enormously: the reed and pick, the yarn count, the width and the evenness of the weave all decide how the cloth will behave once it is processed.
How we work
Mill-direct
We source straight from the loom rather than through layers of intermediaries, which keeps pricing honest and lead times shorter.
Checked lot by lot
Reed, pick and width are verified against specification so what arrives matches what was ordered — bale to bale.
Any quantity
Order a few metres to sample a quality, or several thousand for a production run. Bulk rates apply above 500 metres.
Talk to us
If you need a construction that is not listed, tell us the quality, width and quantity and we will quote against it. Made-to-order weaving is available on larger volumes.
